About
Who is Ty?
I'm not for everyone.
I come in and find the sacred cows. The processes nobody questions because that's how it's always been done. The silos that slow everything down. The assumptions baked into the product that nobody has tested in three years.
Then I eat them.
Not because I enjoy the chaos (well... maybe a little), but because I've seen what happens when a team actually moves together. When design, engineering, and product stop throwing things over walls and start building in the same room. When the feedback that's been sitting in a spreadsheet for six months finally becomes a decision.
Along the way I'm going to make you laugh. We're going to skip the small talk and get into the stuff that actually matters. The weird ideas, the honest conversations, the questions nobody else wants to ask out loud. I find those way more interesting than talking about the weather.
Fair warning though. The boat is going to rock. We're heading for rough seas and I'm going to be the one pointing at the horizon saying we should go that way. Sometimes that's uncomfortable. It's never not been worth it.
I've been doing this for 15 years. I've built design systems from scratch, shipped AI products, run org-wide research without being asked, and mentored designers who went on to do great work. I've done most of it without the title that matched the scope.
If you want someone to keep the seat warm and ship tickets, I'm not your person.
If you want someone who will figure out what's actually broken and fix it, let's talk.
